Welcome to the RV-3 Registry. This Registry is a collection of data on the fleet of flying RV-3s. It is intended to allow builders and owners to compare features and specifications so as to be able to make informed decisions in constructing, modifying, and operating their aircraft. Anyone considering purchasing one of the RV-3 fleet will likely find this information valuable as well. If you have a flying RV-3 we encourage you to list your aircraft, see below for instructions.
Van's Aircraft reports that there are 245 RV-3s that have been completed and flown. Due to attrition, they estimate that there are approximately 180 or so currently left flying. The FAA registration database lists 197 entries with "RV-3" as the type however many of these may no longer be airworthy. The data in this registry is sourced from direct submission to the webmaster by builders/owners. All owners are encourage to submit info on their aircraft. A simple import of the FAA database could be performed but that would yield no info on W&B or other aircraft specifics and would thus not fit the purpose of this registry. |
