Hotel
We have booked a block of rooms the Comfort Suites approximately 2.3 miles from the Redmond Airport. The special event rate is $89 plus local taxes for a double ($115 regularly). Contact them directly to make your reservation. Please note that rooms must be reserved at least 30 days before the event to get this rate (by May 30th) and that space is limited. If you make your reservations after May 30th will not get the event rate and there may not be space at all, it's a busy time of year!
• Continental breakfast is included with your room.
• The Friday morning ground school will be held in the Whitewater room at the hotel.

Airport
Roberts Field is a large facility with two runways. There are regional air carrier and firefighting operations at KRDM but with two runways this shouldn't be a problem. We have met with the tower staff and they are very cooperative. The head controller will address the group at the ground school on Friday.

FBO
We will base all flight operations at Redmond Air who will be hosting the flight portion of our event. Tie-down is $5/night. Their staff has been most cooperative and they are glad to have us there. If you need to contact them in advance for any reason they can be reached at 541-923-1355

Ground transportation
The organizers will arrange ground transportation to/from the airport and to dinners each evening.
